Hi, I’m Shawn Wolfe! I am an amateur meteorologist, storm spotter, amateur radio operator, bird photographer, and emergency preparedness advocate. As evident from my website, I have a good number of earth, space, and nature-related interests. This page provides a little more information about me, including my resume.

• Served as head presenter of the Artemis Program, the James Webb Space Telescope, the Sun, and the International Space Station presentations.
Murgas Amateur Radio Club

• Participated in ARRL Summer and Winter Field Days (National emergency training exercises)
Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator

• Extra Class is the highest level of licensing in amateur radio.
Trained SKYWARN Storm Spotter
2019 – Present
• Reported severe weather such as snowfall events and damaging winds to the National Weather Service.
• Took training classes for both the Binghamton and State College NWS offices.
Luzerne County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES)
October 2025 – Present
• ARES is an emergency management organization in which amateur radio operators assist public safety during general emergencies or disasters, providing primary or backup communication where needed most.
• Participated in several local emergency exercises in coordination with Luzerne County EMA
Accomplishments
This Website
• After about a year of development (Late 2024-Late 2025), this website has been mostly finished. This site is meant to advocate for emergency preparedness, issue personal weather forecasts along with live updates (View [Weather] page), and show my own personal interests.
• I actively update weather forecasts nearly every day, along with designing, editing, and posting self-made graphics along with the forecasts.
