Yet another very hot day comes today, with a high of 95F across the region. To stay cool from this weather, drink plenty of water today and stay in the shade. While there is a risk of thunderstorms for today, there is no storm activity expected across NE PA. Tomorrow, weather cools down to a high of 85F. Showers come Wednesday night, causing the low to go down to 45F. Thursday’s high will be 65F.

Monday: Sunny, with a high of 95-100F and a low of 65F. Drink plenty of water & stay out of the sun.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high of 95F and a low of 65F. Drink plenty of water & rest in the shade.
Wednesday: Scattered thunderstorms possible, with a high of 85F and a low of 45F. Take precautions to stay cool.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high of 65F and a low of 40F.
Friday: Cloudy, with a high of 70F and a low of 45F.
Temps will gradually get warmer next week, rather than the sharp heat spike in the beginning of the week.

A mildly rainy and warm May is expected, as the weather turns summer-like. The first half of May will be cooler than average, with highs in the 50s and lows down near freezing. A few days may be up to 70F during this period, particularly after May 4th. After May 4th, highs in the 60s and 70s will be the norm for the month. After May 15th, daily highs up to 75F and 80F are likely. Some days may be up to 90F. The week of The last few days in May will set the mood for June—highs up to 80F. Over this month, about 3-4″ of rain will fall. This is about the same as April’s rainfall, with the most of it falling in the later half of this month.
