*** THUNDERSTORMS ***
Thunderstorms are expected Friday, with the majority of them coming between 6-10 PM. Thunderstorm fuel values (CAPE) show around 1000 J/KG, which indicates that the thunderstorms have a decent amount of fuel and may become severe (wind gusts 60+ MPH). Additionally, some weaker thunderstorms come Saturday during the late morning through evening hours, with a lull in rainfall between 2-4 PM. In some of these storms, rainfall up to 1″ may occur, leading to small-scale flooding.

*** TEMPERATURES ***
Warm temperatures continue across the area, with highs in the 80s/90s for the next few days. A mini heat wave will come early next week, with highs up to 95F on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Weekly Forecast – Forecasts Between 7/11-7/15/2026 —
Saturday: Rain/T-Storms, with a high of 85 and a low of 60.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, with a high of 80 and a low of 65.
Monday: Partly cloudy, with a high of 90 and a low of 70.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high of 95 and a low of 75.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy, with a high of 95 and a low of 65.

Monthly Outlook — Effective July 1st, 2026
The beginning of the hot weather begins, with some of the hottest days for the entire year! For the first week of July, a major heat wave with temps up to 105F is expected. The rest of of July (second through last week) will be seasonable, with daily highs in the 80s/90s. In terms of thunderstorms, a below-average storm season is expected. A day or two per week will be a thunderstorm day, but they won’t be as strong as they were last year. Total rainfall during the month will be around 5″, with a large amount of it coming the first and third weeks.
